Merchandise Planning

 

·            Participate in the seasonal Brand planning meetings to establish sales targets by collection / brand across all relevant sales outlets.

·            Convert branch sales plans into monthly Sales, Stock and Gross Profit plans, ultimately determining Open-to-Buy for each collection.

·            Develop seasonal range plan for house brands with the relevant Buyer, agreeing appropriate width and depth of range.

 

Performance Monitoring

 

·         Responsible for management of stock levels against pre-determined monthly stock targets for each collection. This will involve a weekly review of Stock, Sales and Gross Profit performance compared to budgets and previous years figures.

·         Ensure that the OTB and stock targets are not exceeded.

·         Prepare of end of season analysis of category, colour and size performance.

Key Merchandising Tasks

·         Review previous weeks Stock, Sales and Gross Profit performance, sell through for seasonal product by collection and, where appropriate, brand.

·         Review stock and forward cover status of run-on lines, ensuring all run-on lines are correctly defined as such on the Retail Express system.

·         Review OTB status in Retail Express.

·         Responsible for all repeat orders of stock

·         Responsible for stock movements between branches in order to optimise sales,

·         Review merchandise delivery status weekly, assist Merchandise Controller in prioritising incoming shipments and recommend action to be taken regarding late deliveries,

·         Responsible for ensuring that all agreed merchandise cancellations are completed

·         Responsible for determining both promotional and clearance mark-downs, ensuring these are actioned on the system in a timely manner.

·         Recommend in-season price increases for merchandise that could sell for a higher price than the current retail price and completing on the system. Ensure price changes are recorded on the system and communicated to branches on time. This includes the production of the full sale lists in advance of major sale events.

Administration and Merchandising Systems

·         With the agreement of the Buyer action product recalls.

·         Ensure all stock movements are recorded on the system in a timely fashion.

·         Set up clusters and size scales as required prior to each season.

·         To action delivery cancellations on system promptly.

·         Prepare  statistics and analysis as required

·           Undertake any other ad-hoc duties in order to support the Buying and Merchandise Department.

·       Develop team capabilities, motivate team and manage both good and poor performance and improve business performance through people

·           Employees as individuals of the Company have a statutory duty to co-operate together to promote the Company Health & Safety Policy.  The Company will take every reasonable precaution to prevent accidents anywhere within the organisation, investigating as necessary and acting upon the information gained in order to prevent the risk.
